Renovation FAQ

The questions Toronto homeowners ask us most before starting a project.

How much does a kitchen renovation cost in Toronto?

Most full kitchen renovations we do in the GTA land between $38,000 and $75,000, depending on size, layout changes and finishes. Custom cabinetry, moving plumbing or removing a wall adds to that. We give you an itemized, fixed-price quote after a free site visit.

Do I need a permit to renovate my basement in Toronto?

Yes, in most cases. Finishing a basement, adding a bedroom or bathroom, or creating a secondary suite needs a building permit from the City of Toronto, plus a separate electrical permit. We apply for the permits and book every inspection for you.

How long does a bathroom renovation take?

A typical full bathroom takes three to five weeks from demolition to final clean, including time for waterproofing and tile to cure. Custom glass and special-order fixtures can add a week or two, so we order them before we start.

Do you offer seasonal snow plowing contracts?

Yes. We plow driveways and small lots across the GTA from November to April, on a seasonal contract or per visit. Contracts include walkway and step clearing, and we start once snowfall reaches the depth set in your agreement.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We carry $5 million in liability insurance and WSIB coverage, use licensed electricians and plumbers, and give a two-year written warranty on our workmanship.

Can we live at home during the renovation?

Usually, yes. We seal off the work area with dust barriers, protect floors, and clean up at the end of each day. For a kitchen reno we can help you set up a temporary kitchen elsewhere in the house.
